Is Gray on Android?

Can I use Gray without voice?

Yes — tap the keyboard icon on the Talk tab and use Chat. Same brain, no microphone.

Does Gray work offline?

No. Both voice (OpenAI) and the brain (Claude) need an internet connection. Self-hosted with an offline licence still needs internet for voice and (unless you point at a private model) for the brain.

Can I use my own OpenAI / Anthropic key?

On self-host, yes — that’s how it works. See Bring your own keys.

On hosted Gray, no. Hosted billing covers the AI providers.

What models does Gray use?

  • Voice: OpenAI gpt-realtime by default, gpt-realtime-mini for lighter cost.
  • Brain: Claude Sonnet by default; Haiku for fast background work.

Self-host can be reconfigured to any Anthropic-compatible provider (Bring your own keys).

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete account. Required by Apple’s guidelines. Your data is purged within 30 days.

How do I delete just my history?

Settings → Account → Delete all history. Doesn’t touch your account.

What’s the difference between Gray and a chatbot?

Chatbots reply. Gray acts — with your approval. The action layer (connectors + approvals) is the product.
